    Recipe Introduction

    Posted by: Appy_Girl

This recipe went together as fast as could be make the filling and roll away~. The filling could even be made the day before and any left overs would also freeze well. I added some extra goodies to the ones I made, You can add some personal additions as well~

    List of Ingredients

1-1/4 pounds of ground Turkey or Beef( used Beef)
    1(35g) of Taco seasoning Mix
    4 cups of cabbage
    1 tsp salt
1 pound of egg roll wraps( used the large square ones)
    Oil for frying

    My additions
    Garlic, Chopped( 1 clove)Sauted
    Green onions, chopped (3)Sauted
    Taco Cheese blend( 1 cup?)
Green chilies, chopped( 1/2 of a small can)
Red Pepper, 1/2 cup chopped and sauted

    Recipe

Finely mince the cabbage in your food processor. Transfer to another bowl and sprinkle with the salt. Allow to stand for about 15 minutes to drain. squeeze out the excess water and put back into the processor. Brown the meat and add the taco spice mix. Brown till all liquid evaporates and add to the processor, process both ingredients to a fine mince. Heat the oil and use enough to cover the rolls by 1". Allow a 1/4 cup of filling per roll. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold 1 point snugly over the middle, now fold in the two side points and roll. Allow the oil to reach 350, start frying 2-3 rolls at a time for about 3 minutes. Drain and serve with your favorite dipping sauce~

I did not do the salt/draining process. I sauted the cabbage with the garlic, green onions and red pepper. After each one was preped according to the instructions. I also did not process again. Then I combined everything and added the cheese while the filling was still warm so it would melt. Rolling was a snap even with the added ingredients.

I served it with salsa and sour cream.
