    Recipe Introduction

    List of Ingredients

1 cup of rootbeer( used regular)
1 cup of ketchup( I used a little less as I added a squirt of tomato paste)
    1/2 cup orange juice
3 Tbs of worcestershire sauce( will use a little les next time)
    2 Tbs fresh lemon juice
2 Tbs brown sugar( used 1)
    1 Tbs honey
    1 clove of garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp lemon zest
    1/2 tsp onion powder
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

    Recipe

Place all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 20 minutes. Season with salt. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Will keep for 2 weeks in the fridge.

I added the tomato paste as Linda remarked that this is a thin sauce. The paste did thicken it nicely and I simmered mine covered for about 20 minutes then I simmered the sauce for an additional 20 minutes uncovered. My sauce reduced by 1/2 and wow did it take on that rich taste and wonderful color that I memtioned~ All of these ingredients are very important to the recipe even down to the ginger~
