    List of Ingredients

    2 pounds ground beef
2 2/3 cups French's french fried onions, divided
    1 tsp garlic salt
    1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp butter or margarine(if using mushrooms)
    1 can mushrooms , optional
    2 envelopes brown gravy
    2 1/4 cup water
    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    Recipe

Combine ground beef, 1 1/3 cups fried onion, salt and pepper in large bowl. Shape into patties., but don't get them too thick. Heat large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties; cook about 20 minutes or until browned on both sides and juices run clear. Transfer to platter - keep warm. Pour off drippings from pan. Melt butter in same skillet over medium high heat. Sauté mushrooms; Mix both packets of gravy in one cup water. Add to mushrooms. Stir in remaining water, Worcestershire . Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Return patties to skillet.
Sprinkle in remaining onions and cook until heated through.

Linda says, "I serve this with Mashed Potatoes and veggie and crusty bread and they are in M&P heaven...I make it with burger or cube steak~but the burger is so tender and cheap! lol When my family digs into meat and potatoes, there has to be LOTS of it...I always make extra gravy to have meatloaf a day or two later... **If your family is a gravy fan, add another packet of gravy mix and 1 cup water. Any left over gravy is good with meatloaf! "
