    List of Ingredients




    6 cups flour
    1/2 cup dry milk
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/4 cup baking powder
    2 teaspoons cream of tartar
    2 teaspoons salt
    1 1/4 cups butter
    1 3/4 cups water

    Recipe



    Measure first six ingredients into a large bowl. Stir well. Cut in
    butter with pastry cutter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

    Add water. Stir until moistened enough to form a soft ball. Working
    With 1/2 dough at a time, turn out onto lightly floured board. Knead 8 to 10 times. Pat out dough to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut, using 3-inch round biscuit cutter. Gently rework scraps and repeat with remaining 1/2 of dough until all is used. Arrange biscuits on baking sheet, not
    touching. Freeze, uncovered, for 2 hours. Remove biscuits to freezer bags. Label. Freeze up to 3 months. Makes 48 biscuits.

    To serve: Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden.
