    12 slices day-old bread, crust removed
    2 8 oz. cream cheese
    1 cp fresh or frozen blueberries
    12 eggs
    2 cps milk
    1/3 cp maple syrup or honey...I used maple syrup

    Sauce
    1 cp sugar
    2 tbsp cornstarch
    1 cp water
    1 tbsp butter or margerine...I used butter

    Recipe



    Cut bread into 1-ince cubes
    Place half in greased 13x9x2 pan
    Cut cream cheese in 1-in cubes. Place over bread
    Top with blueberries and remaining bread.

    In large bowl, beat eggs, add milk and syrup. Mix well. Pour over bread mixture. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.

    Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake at 350 degrees covered for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 25-30 more minutes or until golden brown and center is set.

    Sauce
    In saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch, add water. Bring to boil over medium heat; boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in blueberries; reduce heat. Simmer for 8-10 minutes or until berries have burst. Stir in butter until melted. Serve over French Toast.

    (I find it easier to pour it over the French Toast rather than having them serve themselves
