    List of Ingredients




    Preheat oven to 350º
    Grease a 9x13 pan

    1 ¼ cup flour
    ¼ teaspoon baking soda
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    ½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
    1-12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips, divided
    3 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup sugar
    ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)

    Recipe



    Combine first 3 ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
    In a small sauce pan over medium heat melt butter and 1 cup chocolate chips together just until smooth. Set aside to cool down for a few minutes.
    Transfer butter/chip mixture to a medium mixing bowl. Beat in vanilla and sugar. Then beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Stir in flour mixture, and fold in remaining chips and nuts if you are using them.
    Spread evenly in prepared pan.
    Bake 20-25 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean.
    Cool completely before cutting.
