    Recipe Introduction

    Posted by: starshineeliz

    List of Ingredients

1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
    2/3 cup Evaporated milk (you'll use 1/3 C at a time)
    ¾ Cup melted butter
    14 oz bag of caramels
    2 cups of chopped nuts
    12 oz of chocolate chips

    Recipe

Grease and flour 13x9 pan. Preheat oven to 350.
Melt the caramels with 1/3 Cup of evaporated milk. Set aside to cool.
Mix cake mix with 1/3 Cup of evaporated milk and the melted butter. Mix in the nuts.
Spread half of the cake mix/nuts batter to cover the bottom of the pan.
Bake for 6 minutes. Take out and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top; drizzle caramel over chocolate chips. Spread the remaining batter to cover the top. Just sort of dollop it on. It won't be perfect! Bake for another 23-25 minutes.

    Ok: Amendments:
These brownies cannot be cut right out of the oven, they will be too soft...they need several hours in the refrigerator to firm up enough to cut..and 16 to 18 minutes is not enough to get them done, so I don't know how the original poster did that..mine take 23 minutes, and are still jiggly in the center even when I take them out..they firm out as they cool...and, one more thing, when you go to spread the topping over the mix, it won't spread very well, I sort of crumble it all over and it will spread and cover as it cooks
