    List of Ingredients




    1 stick butter, softened (Use the real thing, please!)
    1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
    1 cup all purpose flour, sifted
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 cups additional light brown sugar, packed
    1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    4 ounces German's Sweet Chocolate, finely chopped
    1 cup pecans, chopped
    1 cup coconut (Angel Flake preferred)

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350°. Butter or spray a 9 inch square baking pan. Combine butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and flour thoroughly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes. Beat eggs and mix in 1 1/2 cups additional brown sugar and vanilla. Stir in chopped chocolate. Mix in pecans and coconut. Spread on top of the first layer as soon as it comes from the oven. Return to oven for 25 to 30 minutes longer. Cut in squares to serve. Makes 16. Extra good topped with ice cream - Butter Pecan, Coffee, or even vanilla.
