    List of Ingredients




    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    8 to 9 Tbs. buttermilk (slight 2/3c.)
    3 mashed bananas
    1/2 chopped nuts

    Recipe



    Mix in order given. Add soda to buttermilk (it will foam some) Bake in loaf or tube pan at 350 for about 1 hour. May add 1 c, mixed candied fruit at holiday time. I have included plumped raisins, made 2 loaves, added extra bananas, more nuts. I just check the oven when the time is near, sooner if I make smaller loaves. I hope you enjoy it
