    about 2-1/2 dozen


    FILLING:
    1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    1 large egg
    1/8 tsp salt
    1 cup (6 oz pkg) Hershey's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips OR MINI Chips Chocolate

    3 cups all purpose flour
    2 cups granulated sugar
    2/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa
    2 tsps baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    2 cups water
    2/3 cup vegetable oil
    2 tblsps white vinegar
    2 tsps pure vanilla extract

    Recipe



    FILLING:

    In small mixer bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, egg & salt; beat until smooth & creamy. Stir in chocolate chips. Set aside.

    Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line 2-1/2" diameter muffin cups with paper liners.

    Prepare Filling; set aside.

    In large mixer bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda & salt. Add water, oil, vinegar & vanilla; on med speed, beat 2 mins until well combined. Fill prepared muffin cups 2/3 full with batter. Spoon 1 level tblsp Filling into center of each cupcake.

    Bake 20-25 mins until wooden toothpick inserted cake portion near centers comes out clean. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
