    List of Ingredients




    1 pkg devils food cake mix (prepared in two layers)


    White Filling:
    1/2 cup milk
    4 Tbsp flour
    pinch of salt
    1 stick butter
    1/2 cup Crisco shortening
    1 cup sugar
    Cook milk, flour and salt until gooey and let cool. Add butter and sugar. Mix until very fluffy.


    Chocolate Icing:
    1 stick butter
    1 (6-oz) pkg chocolate chips
    4 Tbsp Karo syrup (light)

    Prepare cake mix in 2 layers and let cool. Spread white filling between each layer but not on top. Pour chocolate icing over top and spread with a knife around all edges. Keep in refrigerator.

    I make this a little different. I bake a 9" cake then after it has cooled I take a pastry bag and a big tip, put the white filling in it and squeeze it into the cake at about 1 to 1 1/2 inch intervals. then use the rest of the filling to frost the cake with
