    List of Ingredients




    2 teaspoons soda
    3 cups chopped dates
    2 cups boiling water
    2 cups sugar
    3/4 cup butter
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 cups flour
    2 teaspoon maple flavoring
    1 cup chopped nuts, floured

    Recipe



    Sprinkle soda over dates. Add water and mix. Cream sugar and butter. Mix in eggs, salt and flour. Add date mixture, maple flavoring and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 40-50 minutes or until tests done. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream
