    List of Ingredients




    1 Box yellow cake mix
    1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 3 oz. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    1 carton Cool Whip, thawed
    1 cup chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to pkg. directions. Bake in a prepared 9x13 pan until done. In a sauce pan over med. low heat, combine pineapple with juice and sugar. Stir frequently until sugar dissolves. Punch holes in top of hot cake with a fork. Spread pineapple mixture over hot cake. Cover and chill. Prepare pudding mix according to directions; spoon over cooled cake. Spread whipped topping over pudding. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Refrigerate, covered. Chill a few hours before serving.
