    Recipe Introduction

    List of Ingredients

Peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate. They look like buckeye nuts. Absolutely delicious!"
    INGREDIENTS:
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    3-3 1/4 cups confectioners sugar
1 1/2 cups peanut butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 tsp salt

*****Original recipe used chocolate chips and shortening to dip peanut butter balls into

I use Milk chocolate disks (personal preference)

    OR Dip for Original recipe

    2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
    1 tablespoon shortening

    Recipe

    1. Combine the melted butter confectioners' sugar, peanut butter and the vanilla together and mix well.
Roll into 1 inch balls and place on waxed paper on cookie sheet. Chill for about 30 minutes

    2. In the top half of a double boiler melt the chocolate chips and shortening, (OR the disks) stirring constantly. When using the disks I use the microwave.

Use a toothpick (I prefer a Longer wooden skewer ....easier to hold)
to dip balls into the melted chocolate, leaving a small uncovered area so balls resemble buckeyes. Place balls on waxed paper or silicone pad. Use fingers to blend in toothpick holes. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm. Enjoy!

These are a Christmas Must for us... very Good!
