    Recipe Introduction

Posted by: luvtocook2002 Here is one I make every year
Note: Any flavoring of your choice could be substituted for the maple.

    List of Ingredients

1/3 cup softened butter or margarine
    1/3 cup light corn syrup
    1 teaspoon maple flavoring
    3 ½ cups (1lb) powdered sugar
1-12 oz package of chocolate chips

    Recipe

Blend corn syrup, flavoring and butter in large mixing bowl with a spoon. Add powdered sugar all at once. Mix together, first with the spoon and then with your hands. Kneading well. Turn out onto a board and continue kneading until mixture is well blended and smooth. Form approximately 1-inch balls or egg shapes with your hands and place on wax paper. Place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up. Melt chocolate chips in a small saucepan over low heat until melted. Stir so it does not burn on the bottom. Remove from heat and dip the maple balls into the melted chocolate until covered. Place on waxed paper and back into the refrigerator until chilled and the chocolate is set. Eat and enjoy! Yield: approximately 40 candies.
