This recipe was posted by hollyga. I have been wanting to make pumpkin fudge for a while and was going to make the Gooseberry Patch recipe until I saw that a couple of people had trouble with the recipe and so I made this one.
This fudge set up well and is very creamy but I was disappointed with the flavor. I could not taste the pumpkin or spices at all, only sweet butterscotch taste was there. To my tastebuds it really could have passed for butterscotch fudge. I had fun making it though, and it was a recipe I had been wanting to try for a while. I always enjoy making things that are different and this fit the bill. If anyone else makes it let me know what you think

I have made this recipe a few time, and thought the same thing, tasted the butterscotch, and not the spice. So I am going to try cutting down on the butterscotch chips, maybe by a fourth of a cup, or a little more, and increase the pumpkin pie spice. Could add some vanilla chips to keep the consistency the same, so it will set up well.

my recipe uses vanilla chips!!! Is very good and always wiped out at thanksgiving and christmas
