Recipe Introduction
This is from KY Traveler**********It's to die for -- we use it all the time. I give it away too. It's great on roast beef, scrambled eggs -- and home made Thousand Island too. My hubby warms it and eats it with bread - a catsup sandwich
List of Ingredients
18 ripe tomatoes
3 green bell peppers
6 med size onions
2 C cider vinegar
2 C sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. celery seed
Recipe
I use a food processor to chop the vegetables to a desired size. I prefer something like fresh salsa. Add all of the ingredients into a heavy pan and simmer until thickened to a desired consistency.
I realize this is somewhat vague, but that's all I have. This usually makes about 4 pints of catsup. Put the hot mixture in cans with lids and rings. The cans should seal but you can use a water bath method.
This is wonderful on all types of dried beans. We make this instead of a green relish.
