    Recipe Introduction

Posted by: NavyGrammy***********I've made this recipe many times since I got it from a friend years ago. It is simple, quick and inexpensive

    List of Ingredients

4 chicken breasts, cooked and cut into bite sized pieces
    1 small onion, diced
    1 medium bell pepper, diced
    2 ribs celery, diced (optional)
    2 Tblsp. cooking oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    salt and pepper to taste
2 cans mixed vegetables (do not drain)
1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
8 oz. monterrey jack cheese, shredded
    1 can refrigerated crescent rolls*

    Recipe

In a large skillet, saute chicken, onion, pepper, celery and garlic in oil until chicken is white and veggies are tender.
Stir together the soups and the undrained mixed vegetables. Add to chicken mixture. Cook over medium heat until mixtures bubbles.
Spray a 13" x 9" baking pan with cooking spray (or lightly grease). Turn chicken mixture into pan, cover with the Monterrey Jack cheese.
Unroll the crescent roll dough, separate into triangles and place over cheese. (it may not cover completely, but that's okay).
Bake in a 375 F. oven for about 18 minutes (use the time on the crescent roll dough package).
*If you want a bottom crust, use a 2nd. roll of crescent roll dough, press seams together and place in bottom of pan.
    This serves 6 generously.
