    List of Ingredients




    1 cup dry bread crumbs
    2 cups diced cooked chicken
    1/4 cup chopped celery
    1/2 cup chopped green pepper
    1/2 to 3/4 cup mayonnaise
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 cups milk, cream or Half & Half
    1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
    3/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese
    1 cup crushed potato chips

    Put 1/3 of the crumbs on the bottom of a buttered casserole. Next alternate layers of chicken, celery, and green pepper. Repeat them until all is used. Pour a mixture of milk, egg and mayonnaise over the top, cover and refrigerate overnight. An hour before serving, cover the top with mushroom soup and sprinkle grated cheese and crushed potato chips on the top. Bake uncovered for an hour.

    Variation: Make the same casserole, substituting crab for chicken.
