    I double the recipe & put in a large casserole dish or cake pan & I add mushrooms to my recipe.

    Cook 6 oz. macaroni until tender and drain. Combine the macaroni, 1 beaten egg, 1/3c. Parmesan cheese, & 1/4c. milk in a bowl. Set aside. In a skillet, cook 1lb. hamburger & 1/2c. chopped onion together.Drain. Add 1-8oz. can of tomato sauce, 1/2t. cinnamon, 1/8t. nutmeg, 1/2t. salt & 1/4t. pepper. Set aside.

    For sauce:Melt 3T. butter, stir in 3T. flour & salt & pepper to taste. Add 1 1/2c. milk all at once, then cook & stir 'til thick and bubbly. Remove from heat. Remove 1/2 of this mixture & stir into the beaten egg, then return to the hot mixture. Stir in 1/4c. Parmesan cheese.

    Place 1/2 of the macaroni in an 8x8 pan. Spoon the meat atop & add the rest of the macaroni.Spread the parmesan sauce over all. Bake, uncovered, in 350 oven for 40-45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes to set custard topping & serve
