    List of Ingredients




    4 cans pinto beans
    2 - 28 oz. plus 1, 14 oz or 17 oz. peeled tomatoes
    1/2 large pepper coarsely chopped
    1 T. salad oil
    1 large onion, peeled & coarsely chopped
    Garlic powder - good shake of can
    1/2 cup finely chopped parsley, fresh or dry flakes
    3 1/2 lbs. ground beef, chuck
    1/3 to 1/2 cup chili powder
    1 1/2 T. salt
    1 1/2 tsps. pepper
    1 1/2 tsps. Cumin seed or powdered

    Recipe



    Saute onion and green pepper in salad oil until clear, add ground beef and
    brown. Add all spices to ground beef and stir well. Cook for a few minutes.
    Add beans, tomatoes and ground beef, simmer, covered for a couple of hours.
    This mixture will be thick, but as it cooks, will thin some.
    Skim off fat. Freezes well.
    When re-heating, thin with V-8 juice instead of water. Delicious !
