    List of Ingredients




    serves 8

    4T oil (I only use maybe 1T..I don't know why you'd need four tbsp.)
    2 lb ground beef
    1C chopped onion
    2 cans (14.5 oz each) kidney beans, undrained (I use one can kidney and one can Black Beans rinsed and drained plus half a can of water)
    32 oz tomato sauce
    1t paprika (I use cayenne instead or several dashes Hot Sauce)
    2t Worcestershire sauce
    2t salt (since 1t salt has 2300mg sodium or whereabouts, I only add one tsp)
    4t chili powder
    1-2 t cumin
    1 or 2 chopped jalapeños (optional, my Mom didn't do this)
    1C chopped green pepper (optional, Mom didn't do this either)
    1C frozen corn kernels (optional, Mom didn't do this either)

    Recipe



    Brown the beef and onion together with the oil. Drain off the fat.

    Stir in the beans, tomato sauce, and remaining ingredients.

    Simmer, covered, 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    **Once I even substituted 2T brown sugar for the Worcestershire and it came out a real cool "sweet/hot."
