    List of Ingredients




    1 C gran. sugar
    1/2 C brown sugar
    1 C.butter
    1/2 C molasses
    1/2 C dark corn syrup
    2 tsp.soda
    1 [full]T.cinnamon
    1 tsp.[scant]ginger
    1/2 tsp.salt
    5-6C.flour
    2T.warm water

    Recipe



    Cream sugars and butter,add molasses and corn syrup,then soda dissolved in warm water.Sift 2 C flour with remaining ingredients and add to first mixture.Add enough more flour to make a stiff dough.Roll out very thin on slightly floured board [or between 2 pieces wax paper]Cut into gingerbread men or desired shapes and bake in mod.oven[350'-375']about 8 to 10 min.,on lightly greased pans.Cool on pan 1-2 min.then transfer to rack.Dough may be chilled if desired to handle easier but not necessary
