List of Ingredients
1 c. butter flavored Crisco shortening
1 c. creamy peanut butter
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla extract
2 c. flour
1 c. quick-cooking oats
2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 (12-oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
Recipe
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, cream shortening, peanut butter & sugars: beat in eggs & vanilla.
Combine flour, oats, baking soda & salt. Add to the creamed mixture & mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 350 for 10 - 12 min. or until lightly browned

MY NOTES-------
I made a couple changes. I did not have butter flavor Crisco and seldom use Crisco of any kind. So I used just plain butter. I also had a bag of the new Nestle swirled chips - milk chocolate and peanut butter flavor. So I used those. The cookies are delicious and I will definitely be making them again. I know why Candykisses is often in TOH magazine for her good recipes.
