White Chocolate Covered Oreos

Posted by: emilyjane__KY************I make the Oreo truffles (they taste just like the store-bought dipped cookies) all the time. I absolutely love Wilton White candy melts. It melts and tastes better than the most expensive brands. I buy mine at Wal Mart in the craft section/ wedding cake decorating aisle. If your husband likes those (as does mine)I came up with an easy treat that tastes just like the dipped oreos and the truffles:
List of Ingredients
2 bags wilton white candy melts
1 pkg oreos
1 8oz brick cream cheese, soft
Recipe
Melt 1 bag of candy in double boiler. Meanwhile, process oreos into fine crumbs. Mix softened cream cheese into crumbs until completely combined (will resemble wet dirt). Pour melted candy on waxed paper lined cookie sheet and spread slightly. Top with cookie mixture and swirl. Melt remaining bag of candy and pour on top. Allow to harden in refrigerator and break into pieces. Dangerously good!
I just made some with white chips from Nestles a tad bit of crisco stirred in, I also made:
ginger snaps dipped in the white chocolate!!!!! oh it was so yummy!
I also use Nestle's White Chips and they taste wonderful. I actually like peanut butter Ritz crackers better than the oreos dipped. I use a spoon or two of shortening for every bag of chips. If it gets too thick before you get them all dipped, you can rewarm it.
