    Makes 20 large slices

    1 lb sweet butter, softened
    1 box (1 lb) confectioners' sugar, sifted
    6 large eggs
    3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
    1 tsp pure vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp pure almond extract
    1/2 tsp pure lemon extract

    Recipe



    Do not preheat the oven. Grease and flour a 12 cup tube pan.
    In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar on low speed until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes. Alternately add the eggs and sifted flour, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla, almond, and lemon extracts and mix well.
    Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Place in a cold oven and set the oven temperature to 325º. Bake for 1 hour and 5 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool the cake in the pan for about an hour, then remove the cake to a rack and allow the cake to cool thoroughly before slicing.
