    Recipe Introduction

Posted by: Brent49 It looks heavenly with the chocolate curls on top... and it tastes even better than it looks

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (one stick) butter or margarine, melted
    1-1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    1-1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 (12-ounce) container Cool Whip (divided use)
    3 cups cold milk
    1 (3.9-ounce) package Jell-O vanilla instant pudding
    1 (3.9-ounce) package Jell-O chocolate instant pudding
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    1 (1-ounce) Hershey chocolate bar

    Recipe

Note: You will need a total of 2 cups chopped pecans for this recipe.

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a 9x13-inch baking pan; mix well. Press mixture firmly onto the bottom of the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Place pan on a wire rack and cool completely.

Beat softened cream cheese at medium speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar. Fold in 1-1/4 cups Cool Whip. Spread mixture on top of cooled crust.

Combine milk and pudding mixes in a large mixing bowl. Beat at low speed of electric mixer until well-blended and slightly thickened. Spread on top of cream cheese layer. Refrigerate approximately 15 minutes, or until pudding is set.

Spread remaining Cool Whip on top of pudding layer. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup chopped pecans on top of Cool Whip.

Sprinkle chocolate shavings/ chocolate curls on top of Cool Whip. An easy way to do this -- hold Hershey chocolate bar over dessert; shave edges of bar with a vegetable peeler, distributing chocolate shavings evenly over the top. (Hold chocolate bar with a paper towel so that heat from your hand doesn’t melt it.) Cover dessert and chill at least 3 hours before cutting into squares. Store covered, in refrigerator.
