    This is how I clean my plastic ones, so it will work for aluminum too as long as you get them to dry thoroughly. Like Merritt, I clean them in the bathtub with a big scrub brush (like for the shower). The BEST cleaner have ever found for sticky, grimy dirt (like on blinds) is Oxi-Clean. The longer you soak the item, the less scrubbing is necessary. While your at it, dunk any artificial flowers in the same water... just swish & rinse with clean water. They will look like new.

    The easiest way to clean blinds is put them in the bathtub in hot water. Add about 2 tablespoons of dishwasher detergent and mix. Let them set and the dirt and dust will disappear. Rinse and let dry. Cindy

    My cleaning lady gave us this remedy & it is terrific!
    Mix powdered Spic 'n Span & warm water in the bathtub & let blinds soak about 20 minutes. Spray rinse & hang to dry.
    Came out super-duper clean.
