2 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
3/4 tsp cayenne
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Thyme
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cummin
Recipe
I have a recipe for a rub, and I use it for everything, you can always improvise on the herbs or other.
This is very good when you rub the meat and let it set for awhile
Not homemade, but for years I've used as a rub: "Encore" steak seasoning available at Walgreens for $.99 or less. Very good.
More recently I've been using McCormick's "Steakhouse Seasoning Grinder." Really like this stuff! Very good also when mixed into burgers or meatloaf
