    List of Ingredients




    MEAT MIXTURE

    1 lb. ground beef
    2 tbsp. shortening
    1 med. onion, chopped
    2 tbsp. minced green pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 can cooked dry butter beans (1 lb. 13 oz. or
    whatever its equivalent in today's cans)
    2 cans large red kidney beans (1 lb. 1 oz.,
    which I guess is 15 oz. now)
    1 small can pitted ripe olives

    SAUCE INGREDIENTS

    1 cup ketchup
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    2 tbsp. molasses
    1 tsp.dry mustard
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
    1/4 cup vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper

    Recipe



    Saute ground beef, onion, and green pepper in shortening. Add salt.
    Drain beans well and put into casserole. Add meat mixture and olives cut into chunks.
    Combine all sauce ingredients in pan and heat just to boiling. Pour into meat and bean mixture and mix well.
    Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Then top with
    1 cup crushed Fritos and 1/2 cup grated cheese. Bake 10 min. longer.


    Seems like they don't have the large cans of butter beans anymore, so I just get what comes closest to the measurement required.
