    Recipe Introduction

    List of Ingredients

1 pork roast, 4 to 5 lbs (I trimmed some of the fat and browned in pan)
    salt and pepper
    8 whole cloves
1 cup canned whole cranberries (used whole can)
1/4 cup brown sugar (used 1/2 cup)
1/4 cup orange juice (used 1/2 cup)

    Recipe

Season roast with salt and pepper and insert cloves; place roast in slow-cooker.

Combine remaining ingredients; pour over roast. Cook on "low" heat for 8 to 10 hours or "high" heat for 5 to 6 hours. This is excellent!

**8-10 hours on low would have dried this out. Mine was done in 6 hours and could have been taken out sooner. (I did cook at high for almost an hour because the pork loin was not totally defrosted, then low for the remaining time.)

I put some of the sauce in a gravy boat to pour on the loin at the table. It was the right amount of sweetness. I'm thinking the next time I make it, I may add more cranberry sauce to the juices AFTER it is done to thicken it a bit before I serve it. I don't really think it "needs" it, but it would be worth a shot.

OR....I may make some homemade cranberry sauce and while the cranberry sauce is still slightly warm -- put down the center of the meat when it is on the platter, then sprinkle the platter with fresh whole cranberries.
