    4 0R 5 large large sweet potatoes (choose the short fat ones, they are less stringy) Grease and bake until just squeezable, but not soft. Peel and slice about 1 inch thick crosswise and place in a buttered 9 X 13 dish. Do not stack.

    2 1/4 C. white sugar
    dash salt
    1 stick butter (don't substitute)
    2 1/2 T. flour
    3/4 C. water

    Recipe



    Combine sugar, salt and flour in a small saucepan then add water and butter. Boil 5 minutes over medium heat and pour over potatoes. Bake at 375 for 30 to 45 munutes or until syrup is thick....baste potatoes every 15 minutes during baking time.
    These are beautiful and I get rave reviews every time I serve them. You can make these a day or two ahead and reheat them...just cut the first baking time a little short. Hope this helps
