    Sweet Potatoes IN FOIL

    easier for us to have one big foil pouch for these.
    3-4 Sweet potatoes, scrubbed well and peeled if desired
    onion, sliced into rings
    olive oil
    foil
    salt and pepper
    Slice potatoes on foil; add onions. Drizzle oil over potatoes and onions; add salt and pepper. Bring foil over potatoes but don't seal tightly.
    Place over med grill flame, turning as necessary. Reduce heat until done.

    Mix sugar, cinnamon, and toasted pecans together. Melt butter and pour on sugar mixture.
    (I back off the sugar by a teaspoon or two because we don't like them overly sweet)
    1/3 cup butter or margarine
    2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
    Pour over potatoes right before serving. I just roll back the foil and serve from foil
