    Houston's House Vinaigrette

    Source of Recipe

    BBR

    Recipe Introduction

This delicious house vinaigrette is a Houston's favorite, and a home carbon copy is just minutes away. All you'll need are a few basic ingredients, plus tarragon infused white wine vinegar. If you have trouble tracking down the tarragon vinegar, plain white wine vinegar will work just fine. Use a measuring cup with a spout or a squirt bottle to slowly pour the oil into the other ingredients while mixing. This technique will create a thick emulsion that won't separate as your dressing hangs out in the fridge

    List of Ingredients

1/4 cup tarragon vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
    4 teaspoon granulated sugar
    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    1 teaspoon minced garlic
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

    Recipe

    1. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, combine all ingredients, except oil in a large bowl for approximately 1 minute or until sugar and salt are dissolved.

    2. Slowly drizzle in the oil while mixing. Mix for another minute or until vinaigrette thickens. Cover and chill.

    Makes 1 cup.
