    Recipe Introduction

Posted by: bettina_bettina_TX posted by MissEllie I made a couple of little changes though. I used diced italian tomatoes and frozen corn, because that's what I had in the house. I normally don't buy hamburger helper because I prefer to make most of my dishes from scratch. Oh, I also did not use the lasagne noodles, I substituted them for Barrilla tubini pasta..

    List of Ingredients

    1 pound ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
1 package Hamburger Helper for lasagne
    5 c. water
1 can (16 oz.) whole tomatoes, undrained
1 can (8 oz.) whole kernel corn, undrained
    2 T. grated parmesan cheese
    1 small zucchini, chopped (about 1 c.)

    Recipe

Cook ground beef and onion in 4 quart Dutch oven, stirring frequently until beef is brown; drain. Stir in sauce mix, water, tomatoes, corn and cheese. Break up tomatoes. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in macaroni and zucchini. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer. Sprinkle each serving with additional grated parmesan cheese, if desired. 6 servings.
