Bread Machine REC Turkey Stuffing Bread

    Source of Recipe

    BBR

    Recipe Introduction

Posted by: M_Wolverine**********I made a loaf of this two days before Thanksgiving to try it and see if I wanted to make my stuffing out of it. It has a much milder flavor than my stuffing and I'd have to add more seasonings to it to make stuffing, so I decided to just keep it to make sandwiches out of. We polished off the first loaf in a jiffy and I had to make another to have on hand here and one to take to my DMIL's Thanksgiving Day. Two days after TDay I got a phone call from my DMIL begging for another loaf to eat with her turkey soup. So now 4 loaves are gone and I'm still looking for ways to eat this delicious stuff. We even toasted it one morning and ate it with hard boiled eggs for breakfast and it was really good. I can hardly wait to cook a pork roast to have a sandwich of roast pork it.
You all really need to try this bread. It's a sure winner in our family.

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup plus 1 T. milk (70° F. to 80° F.)
    1 egg
1 T. butter or margarine, softened
    2 T. brown sugar
    1-1/2 t. salt
    1/3 cup cornmeal
    3 cups bread flour
    4-1/2 t. dried minced onion
    1-1/2 teaspoons celery seed
    3/4 t. poultry seasoning
    1/2 t. rubbed sage
    1/2 t. pepper
    2-1/4 t. active dry yeast

    Recipe

In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available. Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 T. of water or flour if needed).

    Yield: 1 loaf (1-1/2 lbs).
