    Cornbread:
    Make cornbread from :
    1 egg,
    1 1?4 cups milk,
    1?4 cup melted butter.
    2 cups self rising cornmeal,
    2 T flour.
    Heat oven to 450, grease 7x11 pan. Beat egg, add other ingredients. Bake 15 min. Makes 6 cups.

    Dressing:
    6 cups cornbread
    2 cups dry bread crumbs
    2 cups herb seasoned stuffing mix
    1 lb. hot sausage
    1 cup celery
    1 cup onion
    3 raw eggs beaten
    1 tsp Accent
    1?4 tsp black pepper
    2 boiled eggs
    4 cups boiling water with 4 bullion cubes dissolved
    1 cup chopped pecans
    1 cups of cooked giblets (optional

    Cook onion, celery sausage in frying pan with lid on until done (10-15 min.)
    Combine with other ingredients. Bake in a long baking dish at 375 for 45 min.
    This is my MIL’s dressing and she makes everything from scratch. You can save some time by using a cornbread mix. I make the cornbread, bread crumbs, and sausage mixture ahead and freeze them. It is a spicy dressing.
