Layered Vegetable Salad

List of Ingredients
1 head of lettuce, shredded
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, sliced
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas (not cooked)
2 cups mayonnaise
1 T. sugar
Parmesan or Romano Cheese, grated
8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
2 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
Tomato wedges
Olives
Recipe
Arrange in layers the first 6 ingredients. Sprinkle sugar on top and then sprinkle cheese over all. Cover with plastic wrap and leave in refrigerator over night. Just before serving add the bacon, eggs, tomatoes and olives. Mayonnaise is spread on like frosting so amount could vary. Amount of lettuce could vary-depending on number of people served.
