    16 ounce pkg Quaker Oats Squares
    2 cups pecans
    1/2 cup light Karo syrup
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    1 teaspoon Vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    Recipe



    1. Heat oven to 325°F

    2. Combine cereal and pecans in a 9 X 13 inch pan.

    3. Combine sugar, syrup and butter/margarine in a micro wave safe bowl, (you can use a 2 cup glass measuring cup)

    4. Heat in microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes then stir: (this will be very sticky while stirring) heat on high an additional 1/2 to 1 1/2 minutes, until boiling; Stir in vanilla and baking soda, then pour over cereal mix, stirring to coat evenly

    5. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.

    6. Spread on baking sheet to cool. Break into pieces.
