    Cherry Pie

    This recipe came off the box of Minute Brand Tapioca. It is excellent!


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 cups tart pie cherries
    • 3 tablespoons Minute tapioca
    • 1-1/3 cups sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
    • 1 tablespoon margarine


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix ingredients together and let stand 15 minutes.
    2. Fill pastry lined 9-inch pie shell. Dot with margarine. Cover pie with top crust. Seal and flute edges. Cut slits in crust.
    3. Bake 1 hour or until juice forms bubbles that burst slowly. Cool.


    Final Comments


    Note: For a golden top crust, brush with beaten egg before baking.
