    Swedish Apple Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups parboiled apples, drained (Granny Smith is what I use)
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • Pinch of salt
    • 1 egg, slightly beaten
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 10-inch unbaked pie shell
    • TOPPING:
    • 1/3 cup sugar
    • 1/3 cup flour
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 2 tablespoons softened margarine


    Instructions


    1. Mix drained parboiled apples, flour, sugar and salt. Beat eggs and vanilla and add to apple mixture. Fold in sour cream

    2. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 375 degrees F. for 40 minutes. Remove from oven.

    3. Combine topping ingredients to make a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle over pie and return to oven. Bake an additional 15 minutes, or until topping is browned. Cool before serving.
