    List of Ingredients

    1/4 cup water
    3 tablespoons brown sugar
    3 tablespoons white vinegar
    3 tablespoons ketchup
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1 teaspoon ground mustard
    1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 broiler/fryer chicken (2-1/2 to 3 pounds), cut up and skin removed
    4 teaspoons cornstarch
    1 tablespoon cold water

    Recipe

In a small saucepan, combine the first 11 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Place the chicken in a 3-qt. slow cooker. Top with sauce. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until chicken juices run clear.

Remove chicken to a serving platter and keep warm. Strain cooking juices and skim fat; transfer to a saucepan. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into juices. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Spoon some of the sauce over chicken and serve the remaining sauce on the side. Yield: 4 servings.
