    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup butter
    2 (1 oz) squares semisweet chocolate
    2 large eggs, well beaten
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup light corn syrup
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp salt
    3/4 cup chopped or whole pecans (your preference)
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
    Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

    Preheat oven to 325°. Melt butter and chocolate. Pour into a bowl and add eggs, then stir in sugar, corn syrup, flour, vanilla and salt. Fold in pecans. Pour filling into crust and bake about 30 minutes. Watch carefully and do not take the pie out of the oven until the top looks dry. These freeze well. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top if you like.
