    This is a very good Pound Cake, the lemon extract gives just the right hint of lemon.

    List of Ingredients




    3 cups sugar
    1 cup butter, softened
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tsp lemon extract
    6 eggs
    3 cups cake flour
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1 cup sour cream

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 325°. Butter and flour a 10-inch tube pan. In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and lemon extracts; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. In medium bowl, combine flour and baking soda. Add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Pour batter into pan.

    Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes; invert onto wire rack and cool completely. Store tightly covered.
