    3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1-lb beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
    2 Tbsp oil
    1 cup apple cider
    1/2 cup water
    1 Tbsp vinegar
    1/2 tsp dried thyme
    2 large carrots, sliced
    1 celery rib, chopped
    1 large potato, peeled and cubed
    1 medium onion, sliced

    Recipe



    In a bowl or bag, combine flour, salt and pepper; add beef and toss to coat. In a saucepan; brown beef in oil. Add cider, water, vinegar and thyme, bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Add carrots, celery, onion and potato. Return to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
