    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1 cup mashed sweet potatoes
    • 3 eggs
    • 1/3 cup corn sirup
    • 1/3 cup milk
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1 cup broken pecans
    • pastry dough [plain]


    Instructions


    1. Cream butter and sugar. Add mashed potatoes and slightly beaten eggs. Mix well.
    2. Combine the sirup, milk, salt, vanilla, and pecans.
    3. Line pie pan with plain pastry.
    4. Turn mix into pan.
    5. Bake in hot oven [425F] for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and continue to bake in moderate oven [325F] for 35 to 45 minutes
    6. You can omit the peacans

    First yes sirup is how they spelled it.

    The mashed potatoes were recipe number 1882. The pastry was recipe number 2701
