    List of Ingredients


    • 2 pounds beef from shin, inch thick
    • 2 diced onions
    • 2 sliced carrots
    • 1 diced turnip
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 1 tablespoon flour


    Instructions


    1. Wipe meat with cold clean damp cloth. Put in pan. Cover with boiling water and simmer for 3 hours on low heat.
    2. Add the other ingredients.
    3. Increase the heat and simmmer another hour.
    4. Remove the meat and the vegetables to a platter. Thicken the liquor with flour that was mixed to a smooth paste with cold water, stir and cook to desired consistancy. Serve with meat and vegetables
    5. Serves 6
