    Butterscotch Haystacks

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (11ounce) package Nestle Toll House butterscotch flavored morsels
    • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 2 (5 ounce) cans chow mein noodles


    Instructions


    1. Line baking sheets with waxed paper.

    2. Double boiler method: Melt morsels over hot (not boiling water; stir until smooth.

    3. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter. Transfer to a large bowl.

    4. Add chow mein noodles; toss until coated.

    5. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

    6. Microwave method: Microwave morsels in large microwave-safe bowl on medium-high for 1 minute; stir.

    7. Microwave at additional 10 to 20 second intervals, stirring until smooth.

    8. Stir in peanut butter until well blended.

    9. Add chow mein noodles; toss until coated.

    10. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

    11. Makes 4 dozen.
