    Lancaster County Casserole

    List of Ingredients




    Lancaster County Casserole
    8 ounces uncooked wide egg noodles
    2-3 cups cubed cooked chicken
    2 cups frozen peas & carrots
    2 cans ( 10 & 3/4 ounces each)
    reduced-sodium creamof mushroom with
    roasted garlic soup or cream of roasted
    with savory herbs soup prepared with
    1 cup of milk or water.
    Salt & ground pepper to taste
    1/4 cup plain bread crumbs.
    1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 Tbs. butter cut into pieces
    Cook noodles following package directions; drain. Greese a shallow 6-8 cup
    baking dish. In mixing bowl, toss together chicken, noodles, peas & carrots &
    soup into baking dish. Season to taste with salt & pepper. Top with bread
    crumbs & cheese; dot with butter. Cover & bake 20 minutes; uncover & bake 10
    minutes longer or until hot & bubbley.
