    Mrs. D. Kanagy's Corn Meal Mush

    List of Ingredients




    Mix in bowl
    2 1/2 cups corn meal,
    2 cups cold water
    Set aside.

    Bring to boil 2 1/2 quarts water in a saucepan. Add corn meal mix. Boil 3/4 to 1 hour. Add 1 3/4 tbs salt and let boil a few minutes longer. Can be served with hot milk or pour in any desired pan or bowl and let set overnight. Slice and then fry in 1 tbs shortening in a skillet.
